Roger A. Harwerth came to the Pendleton community in May, 2005, having served a congregation in Texas for ten years. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Roger graduated High School in the Shawnee Mission School District in Kansas, and in 1983 earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy from Missouri Valley College, an historical Presbyterian Church (USA) institution in Marshall, Missouri. Following his undergraduate degree work, Roger earned a Master of Divinity degree in 1987 from San Francisco Theological Seminary, which is also a Presbyterian Church (USA) institution. Ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in December, 1987 in Missouri Union Presbytery, Roger has served the congregations of Range Line and Sweet Springs, Missouri; Hays, Kansas; Bennington, Kansas; Borger, Texas; and now Pendleton, Oregon.
Roger and spouse Brenda have recently celebrated their twenty-fifth anniversary, and are the parents of three children, who live in both Texas and Oregon.
