Upcoming Events:

•  Brown Bag Book Study– each Tuesday at 12:00 noon in the conference room. Our current book is entitled “Walking the Bible”. Bring your book, your lunch, and a drink and join in the lively discussion.

•  Please be aware! Presbyterian Preschool has started. Be on the lookout for children and cars in the parking lot.

Preschool hours:

Mon/Wed/Fri 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Tues/Thurs 9:00 am – 11:30 am

Ways you can help:

•  The third Wednesday of each month First Presbyterian Church hosts a lunch at the Salvation Army . We need your cash donations to keep the monthly lunches coming. Please make donations payable to the church and write “SA Lunch” on the envelope or memo section of the check. Thank you.

•  Helping Hand needs your help. Please consider donating the following items by bringing them to the church and adding them to the food barrels in the narthex and by the parking lot door: Macaroni and cheese, saltine crackers, cereal, instant oatmeal, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, canned peas, jam, fruit juice, instant potatoes, Ramen noodles, pancake mix, micro-wave popcorn, toothbrushes, disposable razors, toilet tissue, laundry detergent, diapers size 5. Helping Hand is also accepting socks and towels which they will share with a group which serves the homeless population of Pendleton. Towels need not be brand new – we have a volunteer to mend slightly worn towels.

•  Pendleton Warming Station – has now officially opened and they have housed their first clients. They will need many things to keep the station operating throughout the long winter but mostly they need volunteers. See Judy Wilkins or Alice Hepburn for more information.

2012 Mission Yearbooks are available for purchase in the church office – only $12.00 for a year of inspirational messages.
